Many people forget about this step. Make sure you use some fertilizer so your grass gets a kick start. The goal here is to always have green grass that is edged, and mowed very often. The key to winning yard of the month is also having green grass, you don't want yellow patches in your yard, and to have beautiful healthy plants. The idea here is to have your whole lawn looking perfect. After you have completed all these steps, you should be well on your way to reaching your goal.
